FAIR USE OF COPYRIGHT PROTECTED MATERIALS

Page history last edited by PBworks 18 years ago

Working in a Media Center, questions about copyright always come up. I created this PowerPoint presentation when I was in grad school, and have found myself using it to refer to when teachers ask me questions about what they can copy and use legally. I have listed my favorite print sources on the PowerPoint, and there are alot of sources on the Internet. One that I have found particularly helpful is http://www.mediafestival.org/copyrightchart.html. I like this one because it has a chart you can pdf and print.

Here is my attempt to clarify a huge and knarly issue.

Use caution on that mediafestival site. There are several inaccuracies, such as being able to make archival copies of video. That's plain out wrong.
